About Justilien Gaspard
I got started in SEO in 2001 when working on a personal project that got top rankings in Google for a major city keyword. I was building quality links simply to drive traffic, and experienced the power of link development.
In 2004 I went to work full-time for an SEO company, before starting my own business in 2006. My focus is on organic SEO with an emphasis on links since they are the core ranking factor for major search engines.
Since 2007 I’ve been a Link Columnist for Search Engine Watch, and have written three advanced SEO courses for Search Engine Marketing Professional Organization (SEMPO). In addition I’ve spoken at Search Engine Strategies (SES) conferences in NYC, Chicago, San Jose, and Seattle.
I’ve participated in the annual group interview “Link Building with the Experts” since 2008. Each expert submits an anonymous question, then we each answer it. Here’s the 2011 interview.
