Afraid to Link Out? Think Again

Are you hesitate to link to other sites? Think that is helping your rankings? Think again.
…when a search engine discovers a page pointing users in the direction of more useful information, that page will be given more credit. Ask yourself what’s more useful: information that cites other government, education, and medical sites on a particular disease, or a page of copy describing the disease without referencing any authority sites? Not even a citation. That answer is a no-brainer.

Very nice article.
I currently link out to Gov sites in my area but after reading this article I think I may increase it to other sites.
Thanks for the idea.

That was a nice story. It stands to reason that linking to authoritative sites only improves how trustworthy search engines believe your site to be.

Very good treat, logically should it be like you wrote because the web, from the point of view of SE’s, is meant to inform and therefore
by linking to authoritative sites gives you more trust, not only from your customer but infact also from SE’s

That is really a very helpful article. I never thought that it works that way. I usually refrain myself to link out when making an article or post because I’m afraid I am giving the owner a link to his site without me gaining anything. But the way you explained it, i guess I will never think twice again on doing such.

I think linking out is great because it often catches the attention of the blogger/webmaster, and a lot of the time they link back. The thing I find hard is finding a place to link to them from.

I guessed it earlier, but now I became assured of it.
