Link Building Idea: Create Customer Interviews & Profiles

In October I made a post that turned out to be very popular on creating a collection of expert interviews. Another way to approach this is with customer interviews. Customer profiles or interviews are a common marketing practice.
Benefits of Customer Profiles/Interviews:

- User Involvement
- Increased Sales Conversion
- Internal Link Opportunities
- External Links Opportunities
Did I mention external link opportunities? That is right once you publish a customer profile or interview promote it. Ask them to contact their colleagues, friends or family. Suggest they link to it from their website or blog. If it is a business suggestion they promote it in their newsletter to customers. Ask them to make any business or community organization they belong to aware of the interview. A short email can be a quick and effective way to accomplish this.
Extra Tip:
Give them some type of award or honor in the profile/interview. They will be more likely to work harder at spreading the word.

Great Idea! This takes case studies/testimonials one step farther. User behavior on our industrial clients show that they come to home pg/ product pg / details / case studies many times.
The interview idea can be used for just about anyone!
