RLROUSE.com October Special $29.95

RLROUSE Directory is running an October special on directory submission. Only $29.95 for a permanent listing which normally runs $49.95. This is not a new directory. It is about 3 years old which gives it more creditability. Plus, I have often seen pages from this site rank in the top results on a variety of searches.

Posting two directory specials in a row was not planned. It was just a coincidence.

I would like to start compiling a list of great niche, regional or city directories. I believe those are the ones used most by general internet users and that drive great traffic. What niche directories would you recommend?

Who would pay $29.99 to submit their site an ad-laden, ugly-ass directory? Seems unwise to me.

There’s a really good one called BrowseIreland.com. Although they use a CGI script to log outgoing clicks, they do actually drive a fair bit of traffic to any sites I have on there. I think that your site would need to be related to Ireland, or else be on a broadly focussed, non-geographic topic (like movie reviews) to get listed though.

Agreed, many such sites do use CGI scripts. I know some believe simple cgi jumps counted as links. That subject is still open for debate. That said if a directory sends traffic it is worth it!

Yes it does have a lot of ads. I think it would be a much better resource if the ads were more low-key. As they say never judge a book by its cover. Some of the top rankings sites on the net are not pretty and slick. Depending on the demographic group you target sometimes less slick sites convert much better. Two reasons to submit would be to help your rankings in search engines and traffic.
