Food, Restaurants, & Markets in Coco

Ocean View
Cafe de Playa Beach and Dining Club is a classy establishment offering breakfast, lunch and dinner.

Restaurant Mar del Coco is on the beach and near the plaza. They offer a variety of seafood and traditional dishes ranging from $5-$25. They serve lunch and dinner. You are paying for the location.

Next to Mar del Coco is a nice inexpensive Caribbean soda. This will please anyone on a budget. While they mainly service lunch and dinner. During green season they will often serve breakfast upon request.

Main Street
On the main street into town there are several places to dine including Papagayo Seafood, Louisiana Bar & Grill, and Papagayo Steakhouse. Make sure to check-out some of the local sodas.

Coffee
Check out Coco Coffee Company on the main street into town. They have some of the best coffee and breakfast sandwiches in town.

French
Inside the entrance to the Las Palmas Community (condos) there is a delightful crepes cafe run by a lady from Quebec, Canada.

Italian
Those seeking Italian dining should check out La Dolce Vita in the Las Palmas Community or El Sol y La Luna at Hotel Sol y Luna.

Grocery Markets
Coco has several markets for those renting condos or looking to save some money. East of the soccer field is a local style market called Luperon. Going a few minutes into town there is a new Auto Mercado. They are the more expensive American style supermarket. They do carry a lot more American’s brands than other markets. Across from Auto Mercado is another large market.

Both Hotel Coco Palms and the Las Palmas Community (condos) has their own small markets. Both charge a premium for their convenient location. Don’t let the walk-in refrigerators at Coco Palms market scare you!
