Wow we were neighbours! I lived on Brunswick and Park Ave. That area is such a great section of the city. So many good little indy cafes. I do miss it, just not the cold weather and snow storms.

Oh, the summers were a whole of fun. I lived within 100 feet of a bar for the better part of 3 years off of Park Ave and Culver Road. And it’s within drunken walking distance of the strip of bars on Goodman/East Ave. Despite the bad rap I give the school and city, I still miss the good times and the people I knew that lived up and down Park ave.

I was in the Film/Animation program. I thought I was going to design video games and make Pixar films for a career, but around my senior year I decided to go out on my own, so now I do websites, graphic design, and 3D viz.

Hey Bartek – Yes the weather in Rochester can be depressing. Summers are great though! I spent a lot of time downtown (Java Joeâ€™s, Park Ave, etc) so I had fun. RIT does really teach people how to work very hard and efficiently.

Just came across your blog from Lee Odden’s massive list and subscribed to the feed. Gonna check out the archives, looks like good stuff.

I also went to RIT. It was quite a depressing city weather-wise, and the school wasn’t too much fun either. On the bright side, I learned a whole lot and it prepared me for being a workhorse. The photo program is great there though! Hope you had some fun at least during your experience! haha

Nothing can beat a nice dark roast coffee, comfy couch and conversation at a coffee shop. Hopefully you have a wonderful New Years Rhea!
